1. Pull Zone Creation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We will see how to setup a WordPress CDN and for this, we have chosen the MAXcdn service. After you have created your CDN account, log in to this account and go to the control panel. You will see the navigation bar on top of the screen. Here, click on the \u201cZones\u201d tab > \u201cPull Zones\u201d and then click \u201cCreate Pull Zone\u201d this will pull the data from the specified location after the first request for the file is raised. Next, you need to create a CNAME record for \u201ccdn.yourdomainname.extension\u201d as \u201cnameofthepullzone.yourdomainname.netdna-cdn.com\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Create CNAME Record<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

CNAME tells the website visitors about the location of the resources when they try to access a site. To create a CNAME record, go to the domain\u2019s Control Panel. Type \u201cDNS ZONE\u201d in the search box. Choose the \u201cSimple DNS Zone Editor\u201d option. Next, go to \u201cAdd a CNAME Record\u201d and fill in these details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Name – enter only the prefix of your custom domain. Control Panel will then autocomplete \u201cyourdomainname.extension\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNAME – enter \u201cnameofpullzone.yourdomainname.netdna-cdn.com\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Install and Set up the WP CDN Plugin<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After clicking on the \u201cSpecify it here\u201d link, the plugin will take you to your CDN provider page. After you have logged in to the MAXcdn account, go to Manage Account and select the API tab to get the API key. There is a field \u201cReplace Site\u2019s Hostname With\u201d. In this field, you have to enter \u201ccdn.yourdomainname.extension\u201d. Once you have entered this, click on the \u201cSave all Settings\u201d option and later, test NetDNA. If you have properly followed the steps and have done things right, you will get the \u201cGreen Test Passed\u201d report just next to the \u201cTest NetDNA\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
