Hi
I’ve just purchased VW Photohtaphy Pro; I have installed the them and the 3 plugins provided. When I try to preview the theme, I get a white page. I don’t want to activate the theme as long as I don’t have set up a minimal configuration for my website.

Hi,

We are giving you some easy steps to install the theme and setup homepage.

You got the premium theme download links on your order confirmation mail which contains the following zip files:

1.VW Photography pro
2.VW Photography Pro Posttype
3. Title Banner Images
4. Gallery Images

If you haven’t got the zip file of the theme, please send us your order number, we will give you the login credential of your account on our website.

VW Photography pro is a premium version theme. The “VW Photography Pro Posttype”,”Title Banner Images”and”Gallery Images” is a theme required plugin.

You need to upload the themes separately. First, upload VW Photography pro zip via Appearance -> Themes and activate it.

The “VW Photography Pro Posttype”,”Title Banner Images” and “Gallery Images” would be uploaded via Plugins -> Add new. These both of plugins will be uploaded separately one by one.

If you have successfully completed theme installation, then follow the below steps to get the demo content on your homepage.

Go to Appearance -> Get Started -> Run Importer.

This will give you the demo on your front end.

Hi
Thank you for your reply. I did follow successfully all the installation steps. However, I cannot run the importer, because I don’t want to activate the theme yet. I’m working on my production website, and I don’t have any staging site. Any theme comes with a “Preview” mode, where one can set up a basic configuration before activating it this is what I want to do.

The preview mode of VW Photography works fine; but the one of VW Photography Pro gives me a blank page. Please tell me how to enable the preview mode, or indicate instructions for a refund.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here.

You cannot run the demo importer without activating the theme. Because the demo Importer is in Appearance -> Get Started -> Demo Content Importer -> Run Importer.

Without running the demo importer you cannot get the same demo as we have on our website.

Once you check the preview you will get the latest post on your front page as it is a default one.

So you need to first activate the theme then you can do the changes.

OK… since I still wanted to give it a try… I activated VW Photography Pro. Then, all my site went blank!!!!!! Everything, including the admin module returned blank pages. I had to restore a DB backup to fix my site.

All 3 plugins are activated. So… what do I need to do to use your theme???

Well, I found the root cause:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tgmpa() (previously declared in /home/photoolijz/www/wp/wp-content/plugins/our-team-enhanced/admin/class/class-tgm-plugin-activation.php:1927) in /home/photoolijz/www/wp/wp-content/themes/vw-photography-pro/inc/class-tgm-plugin-activation.php on line 2126

I updated that Our Team Showcase plugin to the latest version, that seem to fixed the white screen of death issue

Hi,

Thanks for the information. It is causing due to tgmpa. Declared already in our theme as well as in the plugin. TGMPA is an external service. Number of used it.

We would like to know have this issue has resolved by updating the plugin?
