Can't activate plugin on child theme

Trying to follow best practices of creating a child theme of theme we just purchased and use that as the ‘Active’ theme. When I try to activate the plugin to unlock the pro version of theme I get the error.
Installing Plugin: Sirat
Downloading installation package from sirat…
Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.

Please tell me how to activate plugin on child of purchased theme.
