Hi. I’m using the VW Tour theme and am going through the documentation. I cannot get the “home” theme to display after creating a new page. I have tried activating other themes, then returning back to the VW Tour Child theme or VW Tour theme.

I have tried adding a “!” after “/*” in the top-most line of style.css

I am very frustrated. I just started working on this and am having a very time-consuming issue. Any ideas!

Hello claus olsen,

It’s not a plugin problem. You haven’t setup the home page that is why you didn’t get the demo content.

Follow these instructions to setup Home page.

1. Create Page to set template: Go to Dashboard >> Pages >> Add New Page.

Label it “home” or anything as you wish. Then select template “home-page” from template drop-down.

2. Set the front page: Go to Setting -> Reading –> Set the front page display static page to home page

Once you have done with this you can see all the demo content on the front page.

I am trying to set the site identity (logo) do drop down on the left side instead of the middle. There isn’t an option for this. Is there a code I can modify and where is it located?

The logo is already aligned at the left side. Could you please specify the issue with a screenshot or the site URL if possible. It would be better for us to guide.

Thank-you for the quick response. I think the problem was I could not get the mega menu off. Once I was able to remove it and added additional pages it pushed the logo to the left.

I also added Woo Commerce (I am assuming it was what I was supposed to do). I am not clear on how to connect trips with certain pages and will submit another request for help when I am able to explain exactly where I am having a problem.

Hi,
I am having trouble with the book package template. When I create the page and select book package template everything on that page is “jumbled” Can you check this and see if there is an issue with what I am doing on my end or with the template?

It is showing all the destination details because you are accessing it directly. Maybe through this URL: http://vwthemes.net/vw-tours-theme/booknow/

It must be accessed from the “Best package offer” section nook now button. So that it contains only the information of the destination you have inquired for.

Thanks. I will try it. I also noticed when I click on the BOOK NOW button it does not redirect anywhere. It goes back to the same page.

Hi,

You need to select the “Book Now” page. Go to Appearance -> Customize -> Best package offer -> Set the “Choose a search page” to Book now.

Hello,

I need assistance on a few things. How do I change the four icons on the “HOW TOUR WORKS?” Is that a full image or are the icons changeable? the footer section. I’m unable to have the pages appear under the MENU title. Do I need to add somethings?
The “About Template is only displaying testimonial content. How do I edit or add content and images to that template?
